Autumn is about to envelop the Haut-de-Cagnes in a soft golden light. This season, our historic village will undergo a unique transformation thanks to a surge of solidarity and civic energy.
Under the impetus of Restaurant Le Village and the Château Le Cagnard hotel, in partnership with the Cagnes-sur-Mer Town Hall and the Haut-Cagnois Association, residents are invited to collectively transform our streets into a true autumn display.
500 pumpkins and a collective effort
The project will kick off on Saturday, October 10th, in the morning in the Place du Château. Registered residents will come to collect the necessary materials to decorate their doorsteps.
On the program: 500 pumpkins and votive candles donated by Le Village and Le Cagnard, complemented by around a hundred bales of straw and generous floral arrangements provided by the Town Hall (ball chrysanthemums, heather, and grasses).
Every iconic location—from the fountain to the Notre-Dame de Protection Chapel and the castle steps—will be adorned with warm hues throughout the month.
A community-driven project to make our village a welcoming, flower-filled, and spectacular place.
The big Halloween event
This autumnal display is designed to evolve until the season's highlight. On October 31st, the magic will shift into the enchantment of Halloween.
All the pumpkins scattered throughout the village can be carved and sculpted. At nightfall, illuminated by their lanterns, they will transform Haut-de-Cagnes into a mysterious and festive setting for young and old alike.
